Policy three

Our position

Public-good work should be readable by the public — all of it. We design this site toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA and treat accessibility as a standing obligation rather than a project: something each new page inherits, not something retrofitted.

What is in place

Semantic headings and landmarks on every page; text alternatives for meaningful images; visible keyboard focus and full keyboard operability of navigation, assessments and forms; colour used with labels rather than alone; type set for comfortable reading at 200% zoom; and respect for reduced-motion preferences — animation is disabled for visitors whose systems request it.

Known limitations

Some result graphics in our assessment tools are visual by nature; each carries a text description, and we continue to improve their non-visual equivalents. Our downloadable PDF papers are being brought to the same standard as the site itself.
