Lorraine Mlambo is a lawyer, human-services executive and national convenor whose career has unfolded across three worlds increasingly colliding inside modern institutions: law, technology and human services.

Three fields. One continuing question.

Law & Governance

As a lawyer and human-services executive, Lorraine has worked in environments where governance, evidence, documentation and accountability have direct consequences for children, families, organizations and communities. That experience informs the Institute's interest in how institutions make and defend consequential decisions.

Technology & Learning

Before practising law, Lorraine worked in technology training, including as an IT Trainer and Training Consultant with LexisNexis. That early work shaped a principle she has carried forward: technology succeeds when people understand it, trust the process around it and can use it responsibly in the environments where work actually happens.

Human Services & Systems

Her work in human services has brought those perspectives together. Policies must function in real organizations. Technology must work for frontline teams. Governance must survive operational pressure. And leadership ultimately has to translate intention into practice.

Why the Public Good Institute

The most important questions were appearing between the disciplines.

Questions about AI: were becoming questions about governance.
Questions about workforce: were becoming questions about service quality.
Questions about documentation: were becoming questions about trust.
Questions about innovation: were becoming questions about responsibility.

The Public Good Institute was created as a place where those intersections could be examined together. Not as an abstract exercise. As practical public-good work.
